Ready for Spring!

The recents bouts of sunshine has got me all fired up for Spring. So does this web site which is causing much buzz in my world.

MyFolia.com Im all excited to get out there and clean up the garden for Spring.

Along with MyFolia, in the buzz set, is Ravelry (which I finally got into YAY). Both sites are awesome. Taking a completely offline activity and creating an active useful palace of passion and knowledge generation. Now this is what the web can do.

Valentime's Day

We celebrated valentines day by eating butter and cheese and cream and booze. On a weekday even. Scandalous.

We started with some cosmos. New for me in 2008 is drinking vodka, which means I get to welcome fru fru drinks into my life. That much work to make a drink, does put some constraints on things... The menu was taken from a few of my favorite recipe sources. Cooking for Engineers, Simply Recipes and the good ol' type your ingredients into google.

Tonights Menu:

• Fruity drinks, goat cheese and Essential Rosemary Crackers


• Valentime's salad with roasted beets, blood oranges, almonds, blue cheese, french salad mix, with blood orange vinagrette


• Mushroom Risotto which was good, but very rich and I think the recipe made enough for 8? Well we had a lot left over, and its the kind of thing one could tire of so I think we will freeze some


• We washed it down with a bottle of Erath Pinot Noir


• Then started a round of Carcasonne


• We finished things with Chocolate Souffle

All in all it was a nice evening. Free from work and school.
