Spring Follies

With the late onset Spring we had to get all of our spring activities into one day. We volunteered at the Tilth Plant Sale in the morning. Then we did our vegetable start shopping. We missed the pre-sale so we had to sift through the leftovers at the end of our shift. Luckily they still had plenty of Tomatoes to choose from, including some of our favorites like Chianti Rose and a Russian Heirloom who's name I always forget. 

We then hauled our bikes up to Mt Vernon for the 2008 Inaugural Bike Ride and  Tulip Tiptoeing. Most of the fields had been deadheaded but we managed to find one good one on Beaver Marsh Road. It came complete with a school bus next to the field which we were all mysteriously drawn to.
